Cristiano Ronaldo broke his silence after scoring his first goal for Al Nassr with a last-gasp penalty in their 2-2 draw against Al Fateh in a Saudi Pro League thriller on Friday. Ronaldo completed his move to the Saudi club in December last year after his Manchester United contract expired during the Qatar World Cup.

The Portuguese superstar bowed out in Saudi Arabia, playing for a Riyadh XI against PSG in a friendly and scoring a brace in the 5-4 defeat of the Ligue 1 giants. Ronaldo has failed to get off the mark in his last two games for Al Nassr, but he finally got the monkey off his shoulder on Friday. Former Barcelona player Cristian Tello gave Al Fateh the lead in the 12th minute of the match. Talisca then equalized in the 42nd minute for Al Nassr as both teams entered half-time all over the pitch.

Sofiane Bendebka would then restore Al Fateh's lead in the 58th minute and they looked set to take all three points. A penalty was awarded in the crucial moments of the match and Ronaldo made the save. With Al Nassr fans watching intently, the 37-year-old made no mistake from the spot to equalize for his side at 2-2. Al Nassr ended the game with ten men as Talisca was shown a red card.

Ronaldo expressed his happiness on Instagram after the match, saying he was happy to score his first league goal. The 37-year-old also praised his team's efforts to get an important draw in a tough match. "Happy to have scored my first goal in the Saudi league and great effort by whole team to achieve an important draw in a very difficult match!" said Ronaldo. Al Nassr is currently on top of the Saudi Pro League on goal difference as they're level on points with Al Shadab.
